Random #5

Anyone who knows me fairly well knows that I am a bit...accident prone. I think that my worst spill happened on roller blades. My first summer in college I went on a date up Provo canyon. (Not with Will) We had hot dogs and roasted marshmallows. Then the next part of the date was to roller blade down the trail. I was the only girl stupid enough to agree to this. As we started to get closer to the parking lot where we had left one of the cars it also started to get darker. Pretty soon it was pitch black. I thought I would speed off in front of the guys to show how fast I was. Since it was dark I didn't realize that the trail I was heading down at full speed was actually a hill. As I started to go faster and faster I tried to figure out the best way to go down. I new that if I tried to stop I would biff it and end up getting road rash all over my body, not to mention the likelihood of cracking my head open. I decided I would just keep going and hope the trail would flatten out and I would slow down. Well instead of flattening out the trail veered to the right, needless to say, I didn't. As I hit the gravel my toes sunk in and I flew forward like superman. I flew in between two metal post that were about 3 feet apart and under a wire that was 2 feet high landing on the other trail. Then I blacked out. Next thing I knew I was surrounded by guys saying "That was awesome!" and "Are you ok?" I was so confused. We skated the rest of the way to the car. Then they washed my wounds down with iodine and told me it wouldn't hurt. It did. When I showed up at my apartment my roommate was about to call the police. She thought one one the guys had beaten me up. That same summer I also burned my leg on a motorcycle, my arm on the oven coil, and cut half of my pinkie toe off. I was acting out because Will left to sell security systems.

I can't kill spiders.
Or any bugs really. Except mosquito's.
I make Will catch the spiders and put them outside.

Random #3

I have always had horrible luck with cars. Until my truck, go Toyota.

It all started with my Ford Tempo. A few days after I bought it I took it in for safety and emissions. They told me it would cost $2,000 to get it to pass. I took it to a different mechanic and they let a few things slide and fixed it for $600. This car continued to have something wrong with it about every other month. At the end of its life it would just die randomly. Then one day they tire blew up while filling it with air. That was the last straw, I sold Elenor to the junk yard for 45 big ones.

Next up was big gold. A 1987 Chrysler LaBaron I bought for $250. A month after I bought it I started to smell gas. It had sprung a gas leak. A week later the heater stopped working in the middle of December. After putting $250 into it I sold it for $200.

Then I bought my Jeep Cherokee. This one wasn't actually that bad. It needed several repairs but overall it was a pretty good car. It simply had a bad habit of not starting when I needed it to. Like when I was trying to sell it and someone came to test drive it.

Finally I decided that I was sick of junkers and I was just going to get a loan and buy a nice car. I found a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta. I was so excited! I was driving home from work one day and I heard a load thunk. I pulled over and looked under my new car. There right before my eyes was my engine. That's right my engine fell out of my car. How does that happen? A few months after getting that fixed a loud beeping noise started that would not turn of. You know the one that goes on when you leave your door open. When I took it in they told me that the wiring in the car was completely shot. The anti lock brakes also needed repaired. Someone had placed black tape over the warning lights.

So there you go, that is the story of my bad luck with cars from age 16-19. Four cars in three years. Oh how I love my truck. Two years without any problems. (Knock on wood.)

Random #2

Things I have outgrown:

Not being able to skip.
I almost got held back in kindergarten due to my lack of coordination.

My crazy imagination, well almost.
When I was younger I thought that my life was being filmed. (This was before The Truman Show came out.) I think I wanted to be an actress...sorry actor.....so bad that I convinced myself I already was one.

I also believed my stuffed animals were alive. I would set them in strategic places, and then check back later to see if they moved.

Praying with my mouth open.
If I ate before we blessed the food I would open my mouth while the food was blessed to ensure the food I started to digest was also blessed.

Random #1

Family of ghosts.
When we first moved to Kentucky I was the baby of 6 kids. I would spend my afternoons conversing with the family of ghosts through the heat vent in my room. We would talk about different things, sometimes about why I was mad at my sister, and other times about my cat, but mostly about how I wanted to see them and they always told me no. One day I decided to trick them. I asked one of them where his room was. When he said in the basement I excused my self and ran down the stairs. To my surprise, I saw my brothers and sisters huddled around the heat vet.

I forgave them of course.
