Monday was another good day!

We are all together again in California. Lincoln is doing so good! Yesterday they took out his ventilator. Lincoln didn't even cry, he just opened his eyes right away and started looking around. He was so happy to have that stupid thing out! The nurse asked what kind of pacifier he used at home. They aren't used to babies his size I guess. Then the best part of the day, I got to hold my baby!

We also found out that they pay you if you are pumping. They give me breakfast, lunch, and dinner vouchers as long as I am pumping. Sweet! We stayed at our friends house in San Rafael the last two nights (Thanks April!) and we are hoping to get a room at the Ronald McDonald house tomorrow.
We are still waiting to hear when the surgery will be. They say for sure this week.
Here are some pictures from today. We got to hold him for 3 hours!

He looks so cute when he cries.

Yay! yay! I am so glad he is doing better. I also wanted to let you guys know, we fasted for you and Lincoln on Sunday, and as we were breaking our fast I got the most distinct feeling that the surgery would go well. It was just this total feeling of peace. I just thought you guys would should know that. Thanks for the update!

I'm so glad you two got to hold him!!!! What a huge tender mercy. I'm also happy to hear about the food vouchers for pumping. I hope you guys get into the housing soon. You and Lincoln are continuing to be in our prayers! And by the way, Bosco is the sweetest cat ever!! Seriously, he warmed up to us so fast and was so cuddly. Chase even cuddled with him frequently :) We were sad to send him over to Lydia's on Monday, but I think Bosco is perfect to keep Lydia company. I want to know how you guys trained Bosco to be so lovey!

Cara and Will,
It's late Wed. night here in SLC. We just now read your post. What exciting news!! So very exciting! I love the pictures and love that you can hold Lincoln and feed him. So cool. Yummy Mother's milk. Thanks for posting all the pictures. They are great! We will continue with our prayers and do another fast soon. Wish we could fly right over to Palo Alto and see that darling Lincoln in person. xoxox

Hooray!!! Hooray for no more ventilator! And a huge hooray that you got to hold him! That is so wonderful! I can only imagine it was a very sweet experience. I'm so glad to hear you're all there safely and that things are going well. We're all praying for you (your family is in every one of our prayers), and it was such a neat experience to fast as a ward for you guys and Lincoln. Good luck with the next few days until the surgery. He is adorable. And that's wonderful that you get food vouchers for pumping. Something to make it worth it. (I don't know how you feel, but pumping definitely wasn't my favorite thing in the world. Hope it's going well for you--it's hard to bring in your milk and produce enough just with pumping!)
